With the STIHL FSA 86 R battery grass trimmer, you can trim lawn edges along paths and obstacles cleanly and efficiently. Small lawns can also be mown by hobby gardeners, small businesses and caretakers thanks to the powerful EC engine with a constant working performance. In addition, the particularly low-noise operation of the grass trimmer makes it possible to work without ear protection in noise-sensitive environments. Thanks to the battery technology, the start-up sequence is particularly easy and effortless, and the FSA 86 R can be used immediately at the push of a button.

The batteries from the STIHL AP-System are protected in the engine casing on the handle, so that the low weight and balanced battery centre of gravity in the shaft axis ensure effortless use of the grass trimmer, especially during long periods of use. The ergonomic loop handle with soft surface and the infinitely variable speed control of the STIHL FSA 86 R battery grass trimmer also offer a high level of working comfort.

The grass trimmer is compatible with three different cutting tools, that you can replace without the need for tools. You can refill the standard integrated two-line mowing head STIHL AutoCut C 6‑2 with a cutting circle diameter of 350 mm by hand. Simply insert the mowing line into the housing from the outside. Depending on your requirements, you can also use the STIHL PolyCut 6-2 mowing head with plastic blades or the STIHL DuroCut 5-2 mowing head with threaded pieces with the FSA 86 R battery grass trimmer. LOOP HANDLE

MORE FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT IN NARROW SPACES. The loop handle is a great advantage in narrow spaces, such as when clearing between bushes, shrubs or park benches. The practical handle position allows you to move your power tool freely and to guide it easily and precisely, even in confined spaces.

SOFTGRIP HANDLE WITH CONTROL LEVER

FOR COMFORTABLE WORK. The softgrip handle integrates the control lever for switching on and off as well as a control lever lock, to make it easier to operate your battery brushcutter. Not only is it easy to grip, but it also absorbs some of the vibrations that arise during operation.

POWER LEVELS

INTEGRATION INTO STIHL CONNECTED. The power tool is compatible with the Smart Connector, meaning it can be integrated into the STIHL connected system. Once you have attached a Smart Connector to the power tool, after one-time commissioning it will record the power tool’s operating hours and transmit them to the STIHL connected App via Bluetooth. In addition to displaying the operational time, the app also provides an overview of all necessary maintenance, ensuring that you do not overlook important upkeep and that your power tool is always in a ready-to-use condition. SPACER BRACKET

PROTECTION WHEN MOWING. The spacer bracket protects both your plants and the mowing head. You can fold it up or down as needed. When mowing with a line or other plastic cutting tool, it will ensure that you are trimming precisely and not damaging plants, bark or objects, as the mowing line does not cut beyond the position of the spacer bracket.
