The STIHL MSE 170 C-B electric chainsaw impresses with its lightweight design and sophisticated ergonomics, which enable you to effortlessly saw firewood or carry out other sawing tasks around your home.

With a power output of 1.7 kW, the STIHL MSE 170 C-B engine, together with the STIHL 3/8″ PMM3 saw chain, offers a good cutting performance. You’ll appreciate STIHL quick chain tensioning, especially if you work with the STIHL MSE 170 C-B more frequently or for longer periods. This feature allows you to re-tension the chain safely, easily and without tools as needed. The bumper spikes on the STIHL MSE 170 C-B help you to cut with precision.

The STIHL MSE 170 C-B electric chainsaw is equipped with overload protection to prevent damage caused by overheating,while the softgrip handle enables you to work comfortably. The saw is equipped with QuickStop Super chain brake for safety when working; this stops the saw chain immediately when your hand releases the rear handle of the electric chainsaw.

Chain Quick Tensioning (B)

After releasing the sprocket cover the chain can be adjusted using a thumb wheel without the need for tools.

QuickStop Super Chain Brake (Q)

The QuickStop Super chain brake is an additional braking system. The system is activated as soon as the operator's hand comes out of contact with the rear handle.

Patented special seal for the oil tank You can open and close the tank effortlessly without tools.

Transparent oil tank

Overload protection

High performance without overloading: If your electric chainsaw overheats, it will automatically switch the engine off by triggering the red overload button. The engine will cool down after a few moments and you will be able to continue working.

Ematic chain lubrication system

The Ematic chain lubrication system ensures pinpoint lubrication of the saw chain links and guide bar rails. When used with STIHL OILOMATIC saw chain, it will provide maximum lubrication, longer wear and less oil consumption than conventional methods of chain lubrication. The Ematic system can reduce bar oil consumption up to 50%.
